Mac10 Summer Patio Night at Sarcoa

I had been hearing a lot about Sarcoa, the new bar/restaurant overlooking Pier 8 in Hamilton, so when I found out there was going to be a Mac10 event there I was really excited to check it out for myself.





Erin did a great job organizing this event and Sarcoa really was the perfect place for a casual night of McMaster Alumni fun and chatting. The outdoor cabanas were reserved for our group which was really great. Although I didn't have any of the food it looked super fancy and delicious and I heard a lot of people talking about how yummy it was.





At this event I stepped out from behind my camera lens a little bit to chat with some fellow alumni. Small talk is not my strong suit but I really enjoyed meeting some interesting people and even getting to chat about some things I love like cameras, blogging, cats and eating vegan. I am very glad that I joined in the fun. These events really are great for meeting people, even if you are kind of shy!







At Sarcoa I felt like we were not in Hamilton at all. The weather was perfect that evening and it seemed more like we were in Florida at a fancy resort rather than just around the corner from factories and downtown. Don't get me wrong, I love Hamilton, but it was really neat to feel like I was away on vacation without having to go very far at all.
